Egypt trip – I’ve been fascinated with Egypt ever since I was a kid, who grew up watching Indiana Jones and The Mummy trilogy. Egypt has always been this land of mystery and charm I’ve always wanted to visit.
After 6 months of deliberating, planning and saving, that day had finally arrived.
While awaiting boarding, we notice a breaking news “Bomb blast in Cairo”.. a bit unnerved we decided to board the flight.
6 sleepy hrs later we landed in Cairo, Egypt. We were welcomed by our quirky tour guide Amir and taken in a deluxe van with a police car behind us. Tourist safety is taken quite seriously.
Cairo is busy, bustling and bizarre.. Army guards at each post, Temp 38 C, Large roads, Traffic jams, Reckless drivers, Brick-lined buildings amidst historical sights, Decorated Mosques and Amazing view of the Nile and Skyline bordering the river.
We checked in to Movenpick Pyramids Cairo and it had an amazing view of the Pyramids of Gizah, Cairo, Egypt from the pool and the main road. It was Time for a dip in the pool..
